Florida Fun!

We just took the best vacation to Florida we have ever been on. The weather was perfect - high 70s and low 80s every day with lots of sunshine. The kids were at a great age (they are all good swimmers, are all toilet trained, and can pour their own cereal), and for the first time ever we were able to bring my mom, Judy, with us. It was a lot of fun to have my mom join us this year. In fact, my first time ever in Florida was with my mom and Grandma back in 1980 (that's right, 27 years ago!). I was the same age then as Megan is now and it kind of brought the whole thing full circle.
We ended up doing a day at the Magic Kingdom, a day at Sea World, and one day at Epcot Center. On the other days we hung out at the resort, swam in the pools, played a little volleyball, and just hung out. The only bummer about this trip was that Sandi got sick on about day 3 and spent one day laying in bed and on the couch with a fever. After we got home she was still sick and had to go on some anti-biotics.
Another cool thing about this vacation was that we flew. I am the guy who always says he would rather drive to save the money, but after this trip I have to say that flying is the way to go. The trick I have learned about flying is to always invite Grandma, because she helped out with so many of the expenses that we about broke even (thanks Mom!)
Our next big family vacation will be to the Smoky Mountains over Spring Break - one week from tomorrow. Looks like I had better unpack from the last trip, and we should probably do that laundry...

I'm so happy that you said "flying is the way to go" I was so happy to skip the 22 hour drive and fly straight to Orlando. I loved it! I hope to never drive more than one day to get on a vacation ever again.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think I agree with you.

Please promise that I get to be "right" about the next thing we disagree on - deal?
